What is a DNR Title Bond?
The DNR Title Bond serves as a guarantee that the person applying for a new title has the legal right to do so and indemnifies any potential previous owners or rightful claimants in case of disputes.
To start the bond application, click on the link below and input the required information. Please have your credit card available as you will need to enter the card information to process the non-refundable bond fee. If you need to pay by cash, please contact our office at 319-233-6624.
Once the bond is issued, print the bond form, sign as principal and forward the signed bond form to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. Their contact information should be on the cover letter their office sent you notifying you the bond was required.
